Is accommodation provided?

All participants will have to arrange their own accommodation for the duration of the event. There are several types of accommodation available in Lucca at all price points. Properties outside the historic walls are likely to be less expensive than those within. Lucca is also easily accessible from Pisa by road and train, should anyone wish to stay there instead.

Are meals included?

Unfortunately, full meals aren't included in the registration fee. However, we will have multiple coffee breaks throughout the day with light snacks to keep you fuelled! Social drinks are included as well. 

Where can I eat in Lucca?

Lucca has no shortage of wonderful food, whether you want to grab a light bite or experience the true flavours of Tuscany. 

The closest establishments to IMT that we recommend are La Pecora Nera, Mara Meo, Osteria Caffetteria Stellario, and Bonny Pizza. 

The walled centre is very compact and walkable, so you're always less than 20 minutes away from a good meal!

What can I do in Lucca?

If you need a break from thinking about Transcranial Brain Stimulation (though we can't imagine why!), Lucca has plenty to offer. Just strolling the bylanes of the city is a lovely experience! 

You can take a walk or bike ride along the historic walls, marvel at noteworthy landmarks like the Duomo di San Martino, Torre Guinigi, and Chiesa Santa Maria Corteolandini, or soak up the atmosphere at Piazza dell'Anfiteatro with a drink. Should you want something more adventurous, the rolling hills and breathtaking countryside of Tuscany are only a hop away by train.
